The MISR instrument on NASA's Terra platform measures the solar radiation field reflected by the planet in 9 different directions and 4 spectral bands. These measurements are particularly suited to derive quantitative accurate information on the absorbing and scattering properties of tropospheric aerosols over land surfaces. This scientific problem is both challenging and relevant to document the Earth radiation budget. Preliminary results from the first two years of operation of MISR will be exhibited, placing special emphasis on quality assessment and availability of these products.
