Veljko Jovanovic is a senior member of the technical staff and technical group supervisor at JPL, with expertise in geometric calibration and digital photogrammetry. He received his BS degree in geodetic engineering from the University of Belgrade and his MS degree in geomatics engineering from Purdue University. He is recipient of NASA Exceptional Achievement medal. His interests are oriented towards development of common automated mapping capabilities to support science data processing for numerous orbital and suborbital imaging instruments. He was Co-Chair of Working Group "Sensor calibration and testing," Commission I "Image Data Acquisitions - Sensors and Platforms," International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). He was a Senior Digital Photogrammetry Advisor for European PROBA-V and GMES Sentinel -3 missions. He is presently deputy project manager for MISR and photogrammetry lead for MAIA with focus on overall geospatial image processing objectives.
